Rick Hickman is a NYC-based actor, writer and fledgling filmmaker.

He started his professional dramatic training at age 16 with San Francisco’s ACT Young Conservatory. After college, where he majored in Drama and Creative Writing at SDSU and SFSU, he did a stint in Los Angeles and was a founding member of San Francisco’s award-winning Z Collective theater company, where he penned their acclaimed adaptation of Sinclair Lewis’ “It Can’t Happen Here.”

Other SF and NYC credits include “The Baltimore Waltz” at the Magic Theater, a tour with the SF Mime Troupe and the NY premiere of “Colorado” by Peter Nachtrieb.

Film and TV credits include Boston Legal, Criminal Minds and State of Play, where Rick had the pleasure of playing a U.S. Senator in a scene opposite Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck that was unceremoniously cut from the final version!

In 2025, Rick was featured in Tova Hopemark’s award-winning short, “Young Hot Divorcée.”
